OAuth apps

Let other Hookbird users connect your product. You get a token that works like an API key.

Create an app

  1. 1In the app: Settings → Developer → create an OAuth app.
  2. 2Set a name, description, picture and redirect URL.
  3. 3Copy the client id and client secret. The secret shows once.

1. Send the user to authorize

The user signs in and approves. Hookbird redirects to your URL with ?code=…&state=…. PKCE (code_challenge, S256) is supported.

2. Exchange the code

Returns { access_token: "hb_…", token_type: "bearer" }. Tokens do not expire; the user can revoke the app.

3. Call the API

The same token works for the public API, the MCP server and the CLI.
