Affiliate Terms

1. Joining

Any person with a Hookbird account in good standing can join. You get a personal code and link. We may refuse or end a membership at our discretion, for example after a breach of these terms.

2. Referrals

A referral is a new Hookbird workspace created within 90 days after a visitor opened a Hookbird page through your link. When a visitor followed several affiliate links, the latest one counts.

Existing customers, workspaces created before the click, and workspaces you or your team own or pay for are not referrals.

3. Commissions

You earn 30% of every payment a referral makes during the 12 months after its first payment: subscription invoices (monthly or yearly) and credit packs. Taxes, refunds and chargebacks are excluded.

The rate and duration in force when you joined apply to your referrals. We may change them for new members, and will tell existing members by email at least 30 days before any change applies to them.

4. Payouts

Each commission is held 30 days after the payment (the refund window). Once a month, we pay the commissions past that window when your balance is at least US$50, in US dollars, by PayPal or Wise to the address you give in your dashboard.

If a payment is refunded or disputed, its commission is cancelled; if it was already paid, the amount is taken off your next payouts. You are responsible for the taxes on what you earn and for correct payout details. Fees charged by PayPal or Wise on your side are yours.

5. What is not allowed

Paid search ads that bid on "Hookbird" or misspellings of it; domains, handles or pages that look like ours; spam (unsolicited email, messages or comments); fake reviews; coupon or deal sites listing codes we did not issue; misleading claims about Hookbird, its price or results; buying traffic that hides where it comes from; forcing our cookie on visitors who did not click (cookie stuffing); and referring yourself, your team or accounts paid with your cards.

You must clearly disclose that you earn a commission whenever you recommend Hookbird, as required by the rules of the platform you post on and by consumer law (for example the FTC Endorsement Guides in the United States).

6. Breaches

If you break these terms we may pause or close your affiliate account, cancel the commissions linked to the breach, and keep any amount not yet paid that came from it. We tell you why by email.

7. Your brand use

You may use the Hookbird name and logo to describe and link to Hookbird. You may not suggest that we sponsor or endorse you beyond this program.

8. Relationship

You act independently. Nothing in these terms makes you our employee, agent or partner, or lets you sign anything on our behalf.

9. Ending

You can leave at any time by writing to us. Commissions earned before you leave are paid under section 4, unless section 6 applies.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are sent by email 30 days before they apply. Continuing in the program after that means you accept them.
